FLAC (tracks) 24 bit/192kHz | Time – 1:33:41 minutes | 4,56 GB | Genre: Rock

Recorded: February 13–14, 1974, in Los Angeles, except track 4: January 30, 1974, in New York

The 1974 tour by Bob Dylan and the Band brought together two of the most-respected acts in rock history for what was one of the biggest concert events of the decade. Recorded at several different venues over the course of the two-month tour, „Before The Flood“ captures Dylan and The Band in fine form. Having backed Dylan on and off since 1966, The Band were very comfortable with his music, and on this album they provide Dylan with some of the finest accompaniment of his career.

Dylan opens the show with spirited versions of hits like “It Ain’t Me Babe” and “Lay Lady Lay,” as well as the acidic “Ballad of a Thin Man.” Having fired up the crowd, Dylan steps away from the mike to let the Band perform barnstorming versions of “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down” and other classics from their repertoire. After The Band nearly brings down the house with their intense rendition of “The Weight,” Dylan returns to bring it all back home with powerful performances of “Like A Rolling Stone” and “Blowin’ In The Wind,” providing a spectacular finale to one of the finest live rock albums of the ’70s.

Bob Dylan and the Band both needed the celebrated reunion tour of 1974, since Dylan’s fortunes had been floundering since Self Portrait and the Band stumbled with 1971’s Cahoots. The tour, with its attendant publicity, definitely returned both artists to center stage, and it definitely succeeded, breaking box office records and earning great reviews. Before the Flood, a double-album souvenir of the tour, suggests that these were generally dynamic shows, but not because they were reveling in the past, but because Dylan was fighting the nostalgia of his audience — nostalgia, it must be noted, that was promoted as the very reason behind these shows. Yet that’s what gives this music such kick — Dylan reworks, rearranges, reinterprets these songs in ways that are still disarming, years after its initial release. He could only have performed interpretations this radical with a group as sympathetic, knowing of his traits as the band, whose own recordings here are respites from the storm. And this is a storm — the sound of a great rocker, surprising his band and audience by tearing through his greatest songs in a manner that might not be comforting, but it guarantees it to be one of the best live albums of its time. Ever, maybe. –AllMusic Review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine

The New Cool from contemporary jazz icons (and fellow members of super-group Fourplay) Bob James and Nathan East. ‘The New Cool’ centers on jazz piano and bass duets as the vehicle for a diverse collection of original compositions and handpicked classics.  Recorded entirely in Nashville it reveals James and East in a way that you have never heard them before.

Watch HDtracks’ interview with Bob James below:https://youtu.be/ecZc2ZonFPI

“The peerless musicianship of James and East is as evident as ever, but there’s a less studied, more organic feel to the music. Tracks range from minimalist, bluesy duets to lushly appointed, orchestrated entries like ‘Waltz for Judy.’ Most of the dynamics stem from the intuitive interplay between James and East, who seem more than content to steer clear of more measured, mainstream arrangements. One especially satisfying surprise is the alternately playful and opulent take on the Willie Nelson-penned standard ‘Crazy.’ Sung with raw emotion by country star Vince Gill, it serves as a platform for some of James’ sharpest piano work. These jazz masters serve up a wholly rewarding and intimate set that’s at once new and very cool.” –Jeff Tamarkin, M Music & Musicians

Recorded: November 2011, St Martin’s Church, East Woodhay, Berkshire, United Kingdom

This is the first recording to use gut strings (a special set from Dan Larsen in Minnesota was obtained specially for this recording) and original instruments at the correct pitch for the time. Having first tackled the Bruckner Quintet nearly forty years ago , the Fitzwilliam’s starting point was achieving the famous ‘Bruckner Sound’ as well as considering tempo, bow strokes, use of vibrato and portamento in the performance. With many great moments (such as the Adagio) the Quintet is guaranteed an exalted place in the hierarchy of chamber masterworks.

Upon hearing the performance The Bruckner Journal wrote: ‘It was a revelation to hear Bruckner’s quintet played on instruments with this gut string set-up appropriate to the time of its composition, and to hear it performed with a flexible lyricism that has become a rare thing in Bruckner performance.’

Concertos is a disc that I and all of the artists featured on it have been working on for years. Initial recording took place in 2011 in Zlin, Czech Republic with the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic. Some years separted these recordings and the more recent ones from Brno with the superb Brno Philharmonic orchestra and Mikel Toms.
The works on this disc span a period of about eight years of my creative life and move between dramatic and assertive music to music marked by fragility, tenderness and emotion. The performances are uniformly excellent and the audio quality is something about which we are proud!
For your consideration—please do think of this terrific disc when nominating season comes around!!

Recorded: Forum Karlín in Prague, Czech Republic in January 2015

German-Canadian international soloist Johannes Moser recently signed an exclusive recording contract with PENTATONE. He regularly performs with the world’s leading orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, London Symphony, Royal Concertgebouw, NHK Symphony, Philadelphia and Cleveland Orchestras as well as the leading conductors of our time including Mariss Jansons, Valery Gergiev, Zubin Mehta and Gustavo Dudamel. He has received many accolades for his recordings including two ECHO Klassik awards as well as the Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik.
For his debut album with PENTATONE Johannes chose to record the pinnacle of the repertoire for cello and orchestra, the concerto by Antonín Dvořák. In this monumental work Dvořák explores the entire spectrum of human emotion, very much inspired by his own experiences, ranging from exhilarating bursts of life in New York City to the devastating tragedy of his unfulfilled love.
In preparation for the recording, made with the PKF – Prague Philharmonia, Johannes Moser and conductor Jakub Hrůša had Dvořák’s own manuscript at hand in order to come closer to the composer’s intention rather than relying on unquestioned traditions and acquired habits, while paying tribute to the concerto’s nickname, “Dvořák’s 10th Symphony”.
Moser completes his debut album with the Cello Concerto by Édouard Lalo. It is a work of great verve which fully embodies Spanish flair combined with romantic spirit.
Besides being staples of the Romantic cello repertoire the two works have a lot in common. Johannes Moser says about the two concerti: “The unifying motif between these two Cello Concertos is a sense of yearning: From America, Dvořák yearned for his homeland and an unfulfilled love, whereas Lalo yearned for the typically Spanish flair and the Mediterranean temperament”.

FLAC (tracks) 24 bit/96 kHz | Time – 01:06:40 minutes | 1,19 GB | Genre: Jazz
Studio Master, Official Digital Download – Source: Q0buz | @ ECM Records GmbH
Recorded: January 2015, Artesuono Recording Studios, Udine

A cross-generational project by the grand master of Italian Jazz. Energized by joyous experiences on the road the ever youthful Enrico Rava took his new working quartet of the last two years into Arte Suono Studio in Udine. Here they were joined by trombonist Gianluca Petrella, an internationally noted player through his contributions to Rava’s three acclaimed post-millennium quintet albums Tribe (2011), The Words & The Days (2005) and Easy Living (2003). With Manfred Eicher producing, the five Italians recorded a program of Rava originals which cover a broad range of moods – from brooding ballad playing to fiery uptempo post-bop. Once again Rava’s playing makes it clear that lightness and intensity, elegant cool and emotional warmth are no opposites. Rava and Petrella form a peerless two-horn frontline, whether playing in unison, engaging in dialogue or taking their turns in extensive soloing. The rhythm section of Gabriele Evangelista, Enrico Morello, (“in my opinion the number one drummer in Italy today”, says Rava) and guitarist Francesco Diodati give them both space and assured support.

The senior statesman, and easily the most recognizable name in Italian jazz, trumpeter Enrico Rava returns with a revised quintet line up on Wild Dance. Rava, who early in his career worked with saxophonist Steve Lacy, pianist Mal Waldron and trombonist Roswell Rudd, later went on to team with drummer Tony Oxley and sit in with the Global Unity Orchestra. His free jazz pedigree belies the fact that Rava has more often leaned toward the lyrical while incorporating his own liberal style of invention.
Two of the three most recent Rava releases, Rava on the Dance Floor (ECM, 2012) and The Monash Sessions (Jazzhead 2013) have featured the trumpeter in the company of rather large ensembles. Not since the alternating quintet/sextet of Tribe (ECM, 2011), has Rava recorded in the relatively smaller combo setting. Trombonist Gianluca Petrella and bassist Gabriele Evangelista return from the aforementioned outing, joined by new arrivals, Francesco Diodati on guitar and drummer Enrico Morello.
Rava has an understandable fondness for the trumpet-trombone interaction; the trombone being his first instrument before teaching himself the trumpet. He and Petrella engage in harmonies or counter each other in discourse and generally make for an unsurpassed brass frontline in addition to their many solo opportunities. Morello shows a deft touch in directing the music through Rava’s many complex shifts. It is Diodati however, that is a major find here. The guitarist plays in a crystal clear, straight-forward style when he is up front and churns out airy harmonies when directly supporting Rava.
“Diva,” the first of fourteen original compositions, and the subsequent “Space Girl” are airy but with dark undertones and both showcase the dynamics between Diodati and Rava. The latter features some fine playing from Evangelista as well. The bassist also sets the stage for the looser “Don’t,” opening the program to the wild part of Wild Dance. That sense of abandon is more fully realized with “Infant” where structures are fleeting and improvisation is more antagonistic. Rava wisely disseminates styles throughout the collection, allowing breathing time as on the gentle “Sola,” then slowly rebuilding the fire on “Not Funny.” The title track lives up to its name as it veers from lyrical to near experimental.
Rava peppers the album with an array of sounds from the mysterious—but lively—”F. Express” to fragmented inventiveness of “Cornette” and the collectively written “Improvisation.” A small number of tracks are refreshed versions of older Rava compositions and they are comfortably at home with the newer material. Rather than settling down, the trumpeter continues to explore new ways of expressing himself in a variety of settings. While Rava maintains his method of using the middle and upper registers in a specific and functional manner, there is little about his work that does not completely engage. Wild Dance is the most satisfying of his albums in this decade. –Karl Ackermann, All About Jazz

George Enescu is mainly known as a legendary violinist; yet he was not less known as an exceptionally gifted pianist who has been admired and worshiped by his colleagues for his musicality. His expressive and elaborate compositions for piano are up to date underrepresented in the world of CD records.
This gap has been closed now: The Rumanian pianist Raluca Stirbat, who is one of the most outstanding representatives of her age in the Rumanian piano generation has recorded Enesu’s complete works for piano on three CDs. And how!
She shows brilliant technique together with her relating selection of rich acoustic colours as Stirbat’s complete portrait of the versatile pianist George Enescu becomes apparent. This picture is being completed by numerous premiere and world premiere recordings on album.

George Enescu’s primary instrument was the violin, but he also wrote a substantial body of works for piano, including sonatas, suites, preludes, and other short character pieces. This three-disc Hänssler Classic set of the complete works for piano solo, performed by Romanian pianist Raluca Stirbat, offers valuable insights into Enescu’s evolving methods and artistic development over a period of four decades, from the Suite No. 1 in G minor, Op. 3 (1897) to the Piano Sonata No. 3 in D major (1935). Enescu passed through several phases, starting with a fascination with Baroque forms in his teenage years, and progressing to an enthusiasm for Wagnerian chromaticism and Romanian folk music, which led to a more integrated mature style. Stirbat is an ardent proponent for Enescu’s music, and her album is the first complete set of his piano music on CD. Recorded at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, the sound is crisp and detailed, though the resonance of the performing space is quite pronounced. –AllMusic Review by Blair Sanderson

Recorded: February 2014 at The Tallinn Methodist Church

This absorbing project finds Australian composer Brett Dean and Estonian composer Erkki-Sven Tüür drawing inspiration in very different ways from the music, life and times of Carlo Gesualdo and juxtaposes these reflections with Gesualdo’s own music.
The music of Carlo Gesualdo, Prince of Venosa (1566-1613) has exerted a powerful influence on composers down the ages. His highly-charged, mannerist, idiosyncratic vocal music constitutes “a gallery of dramatically-lit portraits of human emotions with a heavy emphasis on the extremes of joy and despair” (to quote former Hilliard Ensemble singer Gordon Jones).
Brett Dean’s „Carlo“ (composed 1997) begins with pure Gesualdo from the 6th Book of Madrigals, then gradually enters a very 20th century sound-world. Through use of both sampled and real-time voices as well as increasingly intense strings Dean paints an hallucinatory picture of the Prince of Verona’s state of mind as he is driven toward his violent crimes of passion (he murdered his wife and her lover when he caught them in flagrante delicto) .
Erkki Sven Tüür’s „L’Ombra di Gesualdo“ references the Gesualdo motet ‘O crux benedicta’ from the Cantiones sacrae, and Gesualdo’s piece is also heard in an arrangement for strings by Tüür. The programme is completed by Tüür’s ‘Psalmody’, which is without a Gesualdo-inspired subtext but it too cross-references older and newer music, within the narrower time-frame of Tüür’s own oeuvre.

Here’s another delectable SACD from Caro Mitis—oboist Alexi Utkin playing music of Haydn, one of his favorite composers. The Oboe Concerto actually wasn’t written by Haydn although attributed to him, the oboe plays a relatively insignificant part as one of four soloists in the well-known Sinfonia concertante, and the oboe d’amore here replaces the cello in the Divertimento. Exquisite performances, beautifully recorded. The only negative feature is the relatively short playing time of the disk (55:14).

There’s hardly anyone not familiar with Haydn’s canonical image, omnipresent in his popular biographies: the endlessly jovial old man, ‘Papa Haydn’, pious, amiable, easy-going and industrious, without a hint of a tortured soul, that hallmark of genius in new European culture since Romanticism. This deliberately contrast-free, and yet remarkably truthful image of the great master, created towards the end of his life, corresponds well to his artistic career, also apparently devoid of storms and crises. In the composer’s lifetime, his music was greeted with enthusiasm not in Europe alone, but in overseas colonies as well. He died a venerable old man, having known in full the sweetness of recognition and the love of his contemporaries. A telling example of the attitude towards Haydn in the classical age are the words by Ernst Ludwig Gerber that introduce the master in his Historischbiographisches Lexikon der Tonku?stler from 1790: “Our greatest man, great in every small thing and even greater in big things, the pride of our times.”

Ibrahim Maalouf, born in Beirut and now residing in Paris, is a virtuoso of the quarter-tone trumpet, which enables him to work with the maqam, or system of melodic modes, in traditional Arabic music. He and his carefully selected powerhouse band pay tribute to one of the greatest Arabic divas of all time, Oum Kalthoum.

Of “Alf Leila wa Leila,” one of Kalthoum’s greatest hits, Maalouf explains, “This piece is one of the all-time classics that is celebrated across the Arab world, and yet it remains virtually unknown in the rest of the world. So this was an opportunity for me to present this symphonic masterpiece, which celebrates the voice of the Arab world’s most popular singer.” Maalouf is a gifted arranger full of surprises, and this is a great opportunity to experience a unique blend of jazz and Arabic musical tradition.

Following his landmark recordings, “Beethoven – The Late Piano Sonatas” and “Bach – Partitas”, both of which has won him international acclaim, Igor Levit is now tackling another three major works: Bach’s Goldberg Variations, Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations, and Frederic Rzewski’s Variations on “The People United Will Never Be Defeated”.

It is testament to Igor Levit’s invention and the command of his repertoire that in one release he is able to combine arguably two of history’s greatest sets of variations for the keyboard, complete alongside a classic of late 20th century piano music by contemporary composer Frederic Rzewski.
Levit comes with great pedigree when it comes to recording the works of Bach and Beethoven, with his 2013 Beethoven disc winning him the BBC Music Magazine Newcomer of the Year 2014 Award, the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Young Artist Award 2014 and the ECHO 2014 for Solo Recording of the Year. His second recording, J.S. Bach’s Six Partitas in 2014, was Gramophone’s Disc of the Month.

Jimmy Scott – Dream (1994/2011)
FLAC (tracks) 24-bit/192 kHz | Time – 44:02 minutes | 1,42 GB | Genre: Jazz

69 year old Jimmy Scott still possesses one of the most original voices of today. A condition called Kallmann’s Syndrome has resulted in an eternal Soprano, akin to a Lena Horne alto, but altogether not comparable to anything. His timbre and phrasing style come through in the exception quality of this high-definition release.

Vocal jazz legend Jimmy Scott’s amazing 1992 comeback, after decades of obscurity, All the Way, was rapturously received by critics and fans, but proved unprofitable for his record label. For the follow-up, Sire authorized a much smaller budget, sending the singer into the studio with just a handful of sidemen and what seemed to be a curious choice as producer: Mitchell Froom, best-known for his work with rockers like Paul McCartney and Elvis Costello. But the results of the sessions — recorded in New York City during a blizzard — come closer, in their fashion, than All the Way to capturing the pain that’s at the heart of Scott’s one-of-a-kind instrument. His abnormally high, nearly feminine vocals (the result of a rare disorder called Kallmann’s Syndrome, which arrests development permanently during puberty) are even more dominant than usual on this program of standards; without the strings of the previous album, nothing gets between Scott and the sadness of songs like “It’s The Talk of the Town” and “I’m Through With Love”, both reclaimed from his brief ’50s heyday. Milt Jackson’s vibes drift through the tunes like snowfall, while the rest of the playing is so tight and sympathetic as to be invisible. It might not be Scott’s finest overall work — he was 68 at the time of this recording, and his pipes and pitch aren’t quite what they were — yet as a showcase for his haunted heart, this is exactly what many fans had long been dreaming of. –AllMusic Review by Dan LeRoy

Joao Gilberto – Amoroso (1977/2011)
FLAC (tracks) 24-bit/192 kHz | Time – 44:22 minutes | 1,7 GB | Genre: Jazz, Bossa Nova
Studio Master, Official Digital Download  | Source: HDTracks | @ Rhino/Warner Bros.
Recorded: Rosebud Studios, New York, November 17th, 18th & 19th, 1976; Capitol Records, Hollywood, January 3rd, 4th & 7th, 1977

The originator of Brazilian Bossa Nova delivered Amoroso to the public in 1977. It displayed the ethereal, fine-tuned quality of his vocals and wonderfully complex and daring string arrangements. This spacious, mellow album is now available in 192kHz high definition audio!

Besides João Gilberto’s definitive renditions of Brazilian classics, he also put his mark on and made world classics such as “‘S Wonderful,” “Estate” and “Bésame Mucho” his own. With outstanding arrangements and musical direction by Claus Ogerman, Amoroso is a reference recording for years to come. The album was produced by Tommy Lipuma and Helen Keane, and it featured João on vocals and acoustic guitar.
Amoroso seems to divide some of João’s fans. For some, the string arrangements detract from João performances, whereas for others, Claus’ orchestral creations only enhance João’s peak performances. I have personally been in the latter category and very proud of that. How can I listen to “Wave” without strings attached? The lyrics take on a new meaning with the flute introduction and the soaring violins in the middle of the nearly five-minute arrangement. It is as if João and Claus knew that we would want to listen to this track over and over. “‘S Wonderful” was later on recorded by Diana Krall in a very similar Claus Ogerman arrangement. Why change a perfect thing?! Of course, João’s phrasing and pronunciation of this Gershwin classic is endearing to say the least. The same goes with “Estate” and “Bésame Mucho.” Word classics sung by a world legendary singer!
João is playful in “Tin Tin por Tin Tin,” passionate in “Bésame Mucho,” heartbroken in “Caminhos Cruzados,” towering in “Wave” and always perfect in every song he sings. The album closes with Jobim/Buarque’s “Zíngaro,” known to many as “Retrato em Branco e Preto.”
Joao Gilberto is perhaps forever destined to be lesser known to casual jazz fans than his occasional collaborator Stan Getz (whose GETZ/GILBERTO albums introduced the United States to bossa nova) and his ex-wife Astrud Gilberto (whose shy, delicate voice made her one of the most distinctive and beloved jazz vocalists of the ’60s). However, true fans of Brazilian music recognize that Gilberto is second only to Antonio Carlos Jobim as a writer and interpreter of traditional Brazilian music and Brazilian-influenced jazz.

FLAC (tracks) 24 bit/96 kHz | Time – 56:17 minutes | 1,03 GB | Genre: Classical
Studio Master, Official Digital Download – Source: PrestoClassical | Artwork: Digital booklet | @ Decca

Juan Diego Flórez, Decca’s “dashing tenor, the king of the bel canto repertory” now joins the illustrious list of tenors to record an album of ever-popular Neapolitan and Italian songs, including some in arrangements made for his idol and mentor Luciano Pavarotti. o complete the full Italian flavour these recordings were made in the Italian seaside resort of Fano, just south of Pesaro where Juan Diego makes his summer home – as Pavarotti did before him. For the orchestral tracks the Pesaro-based Filarmonica Giacchino Rossini is conducted by the gifted young Italian Carlo Tenan.

Juan Diego Flórez developed a special love for the Italian and Neapolitan songs he learned from listening to recordings by his idols, Enrico Caruso and Luciano Pavarotti, and they were the inspiration for Italia, his 2015 collection on Decca. Flórez possesses a smooth and warm tenor voice that is well-suited to this amorous and sentimental repertoire, sounding intimate and romantic in his low to middle range but rising to passionate intensity in his highest notes. Many familiar songs are here, including the classics ‘O Sole Mio, Mattinata, Nel blu, dipinto di blu (Volare), and Arrivederci, Roma, along with a smattering of operatic arias by Rossini and Donizetti, so Flórez is able to demonstrate both his pop side as well and his skills as one of the world’s leading bel canto singers. Guest artists include mandolin virtuoso Avi Avital, accordionist Ksenija Sidorova, and guitarists Guido Sodo, Walter Zanetti, and Craig Ogden, and Flórez is accompanied by the Filarmonica Gioachino Rossini, conducted by Carlo Tenan.

FLAC (tracks) 24-bit/192 kHz | Time – 56:54 minutes | 1,22 GB | Genre: Rock
Studio Master, Official Digital Download  | Source: HDTracks | @ Mercury Records

Kiss’ second compilation album originally released in 1982. Killers was originally released internationally, but quickly made its way to the U.S. after the success that followed abroad. The album featured four new titles by the American hard rock group including “I’m a Legend Tonight” and “Nowhere to Run”, in addition to other known songs.

1981’s The Elder was such a bomb worldwide that Kiss’ record company outside the U.S., Casablanca/Phonogram, demanded that the band immediately assemble another greatest-hits package to prove to their befuddled fans that they were still a heavy metal group, not experimental prog rockers. Since a greatest-hits set was issued just four years prior in the form of the double LP Double Platinum, the band decided to include four brand-new tracks along with some hits, under the title of Killers (a single album). The new tracks (“I’m a Legend Tonight,” “Down on Your Knees,” “Nowhere to Run,” “Partners in Crime”) resembled the Kiss of old more than anything the band had released for a few years by this point (again, guitarist Bob “Alive II” Kulick subs for Ace Frehley). The only hits on Killers that hadn’t already appeared on Double Platinum were “I Was Made for Loving You,” “Sure Know Something,” and “Rock and Roll All Nite (Live)”; the rest were repeats (“Love Gun,” “Detroit Rock City,” “God of Thunder,” “Cold Gin,” and “Shout It out Loud”). Killers didn’t accomplish what the record company hoped it would — re-establishing Kiss as chart-toppers — but it did show their fans outside the U.S. that the band meant business again. –AllMusic Review by Greg Prato

Another Country is Rod Stewart’s brand new studio album via Capitol Records. One of rock’s most gifted storytellers is back to continue the story he began with 2013’s Time.

“I’ve found that the only way to write songs is to be as personal and honest as possible, And when my last album was so well-received it gave me the confidence to keep on writing, and to examine and write about different things. It also gave me the freedom to experiment with different sounds like reggae, ska and Celtic melodies,” says Stewart.

Another Country was recorded in Stewart’s home while closely collaborating with co-producer Kevin Savigar. Stewart remarks, “It seems like I’ve spent years of my life in a recording studio so being able to record this album at home, where most of the songs were written, felt so much more intimate and inspiring.”

Clockwork Angels has been a long time coming. Rush foreshadowed it in 2010 by releasing “BU2B,” and “Caravan” to radio. The next single, “Headlong Flight,” didn’t appear until 2012. Co-produced with Nick Raskulinecz (who also worked on 2007’s Snakes & Arrows), Clockwork Angels is a return to the concept album by the band that perfected it on 2112 in 1976. It centers on a loose narrative about a young man following his dreams. He struggles with inner and outer forces of order and chaos; he encounters an expansive world where colors, images, territories, and characters are embodied by pirates, strange carnivals, rabble-rousing anarchists, and lost cities.

Clockwork Angels is the eagerly awaited 20th studio recording by legendary rock trio, Rush. The band is ranked third only behind The Beatles and The Rolling Stones for most consecutive gold or platinum studio albums by a rock band. Produced by GRAMMY® Award winner Nick Raskulinecz, the album marks the first release by the ensemble since their acclaimed 2007 work, Snakes and Arrows. This complex concept album features a young man’s encounter with lost cities, exotic carnivals, pirates and a relentless watchmaker. The first single entitled “Headlong Flight” debuted at #1 on classic rock radio and is quickly climbing the mainstream charts. Clockwork Angels is sure to please the band’s legion of adoring fans.
